In 2001, David founded Timbergrove Entertainment in order to develop and
produce the kinds of films that he enjoys most -- intelligent, character
and story driven works that have the potential for mainstream appeal.
In 2003, David produced the feature film Chrystal, which stars
Academy Award Winner Billy Bob Thornton. The film was written and
directed by Academy Award Winner Ray McKinnon. Chrystal appeared
in dramatic competition at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and was
theatrically released by First Look Studios.

Also in 2003,
David worked with Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright Adam Rapp to produce his
feature film debut Winter Passing, which stars Ed Harris, Will Ferrell
and Zooey Deschanel. The film made its premiere at the 2005 Toronto
International Film Festival and was theatrically released in February 2006.
David recently completed postproduction on two feature films. The first is
Blackbird, which is written and directed by Adam Rapp and is an adaptation
of Mr. Rapp’s award winning play of the same title. Blackbird recently
made its premiere at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival. The second
film is Randy and the Mob, written and directed by Ray McKinnon. Randy
and the Mob stars McKinnon, Walton Goggins (The Shield, The
Apostle), Lisa Blount (An Officer and a Gentleman, Chrystal)
and Burt Reynolds. It made its debut at the Nashville Film Festival in April,
where it won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film and an award for Best
Soundtrack in a Feature Film. Randy and the Mob will be theatrically
released this fall through Capricorn Pictures.
